Photography has surrounded me ever since my dad purchased my first camera; a cheap plastic barbie digital camera! Thanks dad. From there, I experimented with different cameras and my technique has evolved into my career today! My background has allowed me to practice various photography styles and genres, from the studio to outdoors and all places in between.
My goal as a photographer is to make sure you feel comfortable! Don't worry about posing, I've got you covered! Trust me, your session will be so fun and a memory you will look back at with glee! I'll do whatever it takes to get those adventurous shots you want, all while getting the best high quality photos!

The Low-Down

1. How'd we meet? My grandma basically stalked Derek for me. ;) Derek and my grandparents were in the same congregation when he was growing up and after he made a good impression, I received a "referral" from my grandma. "You've GOT to date the CHB!" she told me. She had already lovingly given him a nickname: the curly haired boy. Needless to say, I was a little horrified and strived to avoid Derek all throughout high school. After both returning home from serving missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Derek showed up at my homecoming talk. After that, we pretty much immediately started dating and got married 5 months later. Grandma 1. McKenna 0. (But I'm glad she won!)
2. I generally range from eating 2-4 bags of mini cadbury eggs during the months of March and April. Please send help.
3. I believe that everyone deserves a vacation. Whether it be just a day trip or a week long road trip! I grew up taking annual road trips with my family where we would decide the day of the trip which state we would drive to and even though it sounds chaotic, it worked out every time and was SO MUCH FUN!
4. I lived in Washington state for a year and a half and now have ptsd because of the rain. Ha!
5. We had a little baby girl born in October!
